Baking experiment: Cake Donuts

I finally used my donut pan today! I had to do some some playing around with the recipe, oven temp and batter amount. Here's a couple pics, they pretty much taste like mini cupcakes.

Batch one and batch two. Learning as we I went 

Chocolate!!! But not really....I burnt a batch wah

Finished Product

2 2/3 cups of any Cake mix 
3/4 cup of milk (recipe online recomnded buttermilk, but I didn't have any)
2 oeufs 
2 tbls of butter
2 tbsl of veg oil (added this in after, to make the donuts more moist)

I also added left over cake mix to the frosting to give it more of that birthday cake flavor that is soooooo delicious.
